Pioneer finger-woven coverlets of rabbit skin strips, custom designed to fit all sizes of beds, sofa throw or chair. These are especially nice for wheel-chair patients. The rabbit fur is cozy and warm and offers the psychological good feeling of soft fur to stroke and hold. Coverlets are priced by the number of hides needed for size: 4 x 6 feet $300; lap robes for wheel-chair 3 x 4 feet $150. These can be made in any size on special order. Shipping is $10 for the large and $6 for the lap robe.
Hobbs Island Crafters offers lamps and other decorative ironwork made of horseshoes. We will create a lamp from the discarded shoes of your favorite horse or we will use our shoes. Pony shoes will make a small bedside lamp, while horse shoes will make a table lamp. A brass plate with two lines of engraving with the name of your horse or farm and date, up to two lines of engraving, is an additional $6.
Table and floor lamps feature shades with leather braid and knotted fringe. Shade coverings currently include a hunt scene or burlap for a country appearance. Table lamps are $ 95, floor lamps are $195. Allow $12 to pack and ship table lamps, $20 for floor lamps.
